Category a: Motorcycles

A1 + A1 Auto: Motorcycles with a cylinder capacity up to 125cc, power not exceeding 11kW

A2 + A2 Auto: Motorcycle with power not exceeding 35kW

A: All motorcycles

Category B: car (manual)
B: Fully qualified and patient male and female instructors are provided to car learner drivers

B+E: Fully qualified and patient male instructor is provided to car+trailer learner drivers

Government scheme

Together with your B license, following a simple training course, you can also get the motorcycle Government scheme, where you can drive:
  • a motorcycle not exceeding 125cc, with a power to weight ratio of 11kW or less
  • an electric motorcycle not exceeding 125cc, with a power to weight ratio not exceeding 0.15kW per kg
  • a motorcycle tricycle not exceeding 125cc, with a power not exceeding 15kW​

The training syllabus includes:
Module 1: Introduction (1.5hrs)
Module 2: Theory on-site training (1.5hrs)
Module 3: Practical on-site training (2hrs)
Module 4: Practical on-road training (3hrs)
Module 5: Practical on-road training (2hrs)

Category c: truck
​Fully qualified and patient male instructors are provided to truck learner drivers

Category ce: trailer
​Fully qualified and patient male instructors are provided to articulated learner drivers

Category d: bus

Fully qualified and patient male instructors are provided to bus learner drivers
